Lesson: Using flash cards, we will review the months of the year.
Then, we will play 'Ping-Pong' with your neighbors with the month with notes then without.
After that, you will play 'Culebra' with the class for the months.
Later, you will draw pictures for a grade that pertain to the months of the year on paper that I provide to you. You will be graded on correctness, neatness, and creativity.

You will have a quiz over this next miércoles (el dos de octubre).

Creatively done w/decor relevant to the month.
Neatly done.
On non-lined paper.
Cannot print out on computer except clip art.
All months and days must be lower case and in Spanish.
Make sure to start the week on Monday in Spanish.
Write out the numbers instead of the number itself for every other month.
Do the months October through May.
You have to do this project yourself. No one else can do it for you.

Español II: On Thursday, you were partnered with another student to write and perform a skit based on the greetings and goodbye notes. This will be performed tomorrow in class for a grade.

Reminders: You will have a project assigned to you on Tuesday of this week that will be due Tuesday next week. In addition, you will have a quiz that day over the terms from the 'Calendario' unit.

Lesson: You will be copying vocabulary dealing with the calendar.
Make sure you copy it correctly. I will not redistribute the vocab during class unless you were absent.
If you want to check to see if you copied it correctly, you must come to tutoring.
Tutoring is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school from 4:10-4:45.

Español II: Using your review packets, you will create a 12-grid flash card with paper provided and the colored pencils left for you. The items to be drawn, written and colored are los Meses del Año. 
You will be graded or accuracy, creativity, and neatness.

HW: Study something that we have covered recently.

Bell Ringer: Today, you have a sub. Please make sure you are on your best behavior.

Lesson: Today, you are to copy the 'Greetings and Goodbyes' vocab list two times in English and two times in Spanish.
You must number each vocab word section as shown below.
You must skip a line after each vocab word section as shown below.
You can color code for extra points. One language in one color and another color for another language.
If one word has different meanings, do one meaning on one line and the other one the other line.
Must do entire list.
This is due by the end of the period.

Ex.  1. Hello. = Hola.
           Hello. = Hola.

      2. Buenos días. = Good morning.
          Buenos días. = Good morning.

      3. Buenas noches. = Good evening.
          Buenas noches. = Good night.

Español II: Hoy, you will be working with your "Saludos y Despedidas" vocbulario creating a diálogo with a partner that you have been assigned. The format of the dialogue will be provided in class on a sheet per partnership.

Español II: Primero, we will review grammar rules such as:
*Definite and Indefinite Articles 
*Masculine Versus Feminine
*Singular versus plural
*Adjective agreement (masc vs fem and sing vs plu)

Después, vamos a repasar "Los Saludos y Despedidas". You will need this information to do tomorrow's assignment with the sub. 

HW: Study for 5-10 minutes for each class everyday.

Español II: You will need your notes on the "Adjetivos de Descripción". 

Lesson: Today you have a sub. Please make sure to be on your best behavior.
If I get that and everyone turns in 100% work done, then you will be set for the celebrations we do in class. (Some of you are trying to earn a celebration back or avoiding a loss of another one.)
If we do not do what we are supposed to do, then celebrations are postponed or cancelled.

Today, you are doing a sheet that helps you practice based on Friday's quiz. This is for a daily grade. Due at the end of the period.

After that, we will have time to work on catch-up on the vocab over greeting and goodbyes.
We will also get you plugged into Remind 101.

Español II: We will practice how the prueba will be done tomorrow.
Afterwards, we will get you plugged into Remind 101.
Then, we will finish all the vocab lessons.

Bell Ringer: Get with your partners from Monday and prepare to perform your versions of the "Alphabet Song".

Español II: Get out the vocabulario copied on lunes.

Lesson: After the performances, we will begin the first vocabulary lesson over greetings and goodbyes.
These notes will be taken in section 2 of your 5 section spiral. (Yesterday in fall 2013.)
We will first go over the Spanish to create a dictionary look for your notes.
After we are done compiling the Spanish list, you will receive the English translations.
The words will be broken down for familiarity.

Español II: We will finish the vocabulario from lunes.
Afterwards, we will allow time to get the vocab from ayer.

HW: Study all that we have covered in class at least 5-10 minutes each night.

The following page is for Spanish I and II with the exception of the vocab titles.

Bell ringer: Get out your vocabulary notes (section 2).

Lesson:
Sharing the "Saludos y Despedidas" sheet per two people, copy the vocabulary as it is written on the typed page.
Sharing the "Adjetivos Descriptivos" sheet per two people, copy the vocabulary as it is written on the typed page.
Leave space for the translations.
No more than one column per page since there will be two after the translations/breakdowns will be done.
Color code if possible.
Once the Spanish is done with you and your partner, switch to get the English page.
Turn in the English page at the end of the period whether you finished it or not. The pages are needed for other classes and the sub will count before the bell rings.

Bell Ringer: Practice the pronunciation of the alphabet.

Español II: Tie up any loose ends on your HW. (cinco minutos, individualmente)

Lesson: We will tie-up any loose ends with the alphabet.
After we are done, you will be split into groups.
In those groups, you will collectively come up with a song (like "The Wheels on the Bus") to which you will sing the alphabet.
It cannot be "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" or the "Alphabet Song".
It can be any other childhood song.
Examples done in class were "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "A Whole New World"
This will be performed in front of the class for a grade on Wednesday.
You will be graded on accuracy of pronunciation and uniformity.

Lección: Hoy, for a review, you are going to receive your packets.
Afterwards, you are going you copy vocab in section 2 of your spirals regarding vocab needed for review that is not in the packet. (En la escuela)

3&4 classes: Turn in the HW. Then, practice the 1st part of the alphabet learned yesterday with a partner.

Lesson: Today, we will continue with the alphabet with its breakdowns. We will also work on repetition. If time permits, we will do humor Friday.

Lesson: Today, after adding some terms to the Geography unit, we will cover the Spanish alphabet and the sounds it produces with its individual letters as well as letter combinations. We will also discuss the vowels at this time.

Español II: Today, we will start reviewing la Geografía. We will do this with maps. You will have HW with this information.

HW: *A word find called Capitals and Countries.

Español II: The En Camino B worksheet. Must be done in color. Must label al oceanic and continental areas along with the capitals. Matching must be done, too.

Estudia: Practice the alphabet with someone using a Spanish accent.

Estudien: Los países y las capitales.

Reminders: If you missed the quiz yesterday, the make-up for that will be next Wednesday after school (9/11). Please make plans to attend. Quizzes will only be made up one day since they are oral. One week's notice is almost always provided.

Lesson: Today, using maps provided in class, we will label bodies of water, continental areas, and the capital's stars of the Spanish speaking world. This will be done in the order of your notes.

Afterwards, you will label the capitals in Spanish and match the countries to its corresponding numbers according to the direction on the sheet. You will have an opportunity to color the countries with colored pencils. If time runs out, the coloring will have to be done at home.

Spanish II:

Lesson: Hoy, vamos a terminar las canciones del alfabeto.
Después, vamos a practicar para la prueba mañana.

HW: Worksheet over the countries if not finished in class (I).
