lunes: Bell ringer: If you have a planner, get it out.

Lesson: Today, I will go over important dates that are coming up in the next few semanas.
Then we will have pupitre changes.
Today, after any questions, you will be split into grupos. In this grupo, you will prepare yourselves to do an activity that requires you to work together and also know the pronombres en español well. Before you get to work in the grupos, we will go over grupo rules and we will do a version ourselves to see how this is going to be done. This is for a grade.

Español II: We will finish with the reglas of 'Ser'.
We will do a Bell Ringer at the end of the period to set us up for la lección de mañana.

Reminders: Make-up Quiz on miércoles after school over Los Adjetivos Descriptivos (o de descripción). Study the entire lista.

martes: Bell ringer: Tie up any loose ends from yesterday's actividad.

Español II: Clase 6...pupitres nuevos...y una actividad con sus grupos nuevos.
Clase 7...Uds. van a leer las oraciones de ayer después de unas preguntas de cada estudiante.

Lesson: For clase 2, you will go over the conjugations of 'Ser'.
For clases 3&4, we will go over the reglas for 'Ser' with ejemplos en sección 3 de sus cuadernos.
Hoy, we will continue in all classes working with 'Ser' and the subject pronouns.
We will work on brain dump drills for 'Ser' and how it is used with the subject pronouns.
At the end of the clase, you will write cuatro frases en español. Dos will describe you with the correct conjugation of 'Ser' and the adjetivo needs to match your gender.
The other dos will decribe dos other estudiantes en la clase. Make sure gender reglas apply.
These will be needed for the Bell Ringer for mañana.

Español II: Hoy, vamos a repasar las reglas de 'Estar' con las conjugaciones incluyendo los gerundios (los participios del presente).

Lesson: Hoy, Uds. are going to escribir adjetivos describing the estudiantes en la clase. These have to be positive (using the Bell Ringer from yesterday). This will be needed for an activity for next week.
Afterwards, we will start the lección on time in your apuntes.

Español II: A switch from ayer. You all are going to flip-flop.

Español II: Find something en el salón and tell me what you "are doing" with it en español in your bell ringer section. Then, be ready to use it for a participation grade enfrente de la clase. 

Lesson: We are going to continue and finish with La Hora en los apuntes de gramática.

Next week: Pick up a card with your partner. On your own paper, you will describe your person with the information requested on the card. Make sure your adjective agrees and that your information is correct. You can use the computer in the back of the room for any research. We will use the description for tomorrow's activity after the quiz. This will need to be turned in after veinte minutos. This is for a grade.

Then, I will read the descriptions done by the partners. You will have to guess who the person is based on the descriptions done.

If time permits, we will go over question formation as well as how to answer with 'ser' and the subject pronouns.

***You will then return the questions for the 1st 4 and ask "What are you like?" in Spanish as taught in class.
Possibly do the readings of the descriptions and then the examen on viernes.

Español II: Trabajando con 'Ir', Uds. van a escribir cinco oraciones diciéndome que van a hacer en el futuro. 
Después, Uds. van a cambiar las oraciones a la forma de las tercera persona.

miércoles: Bell ringer: Today, you will need to have your list for the activity planned y study it for diez minutos.

Lesson: Then, we will take the prueba de los Adjetivos de Descripción.
Luego, using your best acting skills, you will draw an adjective from a cup. Not showing anyone, you must determine how you will act out your adjective. When estudiantes raise their hands, you will pick on them to see if your acting paid off. You will be graded on accuracy and the ability to convey your message according to charade rules. You can get extra credit once for guessing.

Español II: Using the sentences from ayer, we will change the format of those and create questions with the ones you did the day before. Some students will have to answer the ones that are written on the board.
Después, we will do picture ID for a grade with iPhoto based on the adjetivos de descripción.

HW: You have to draw a face on non-lined paper depicting each of the emotions taken today in your vocabnotes. This is due mañana.

Lesson: Hoy, we will review Los Pronombres Personales.
Afterwards, we will learn about 'Ser' and its conjugations that coincide with the personal pronouns.
Once we do that, we will practice the conjugations with a memorization technique.
Then, we will go over the rules of 'Ser'.

Español II: We will continue withe the repaso of 'Ser' and its reglas, conjugaciones, y la práctica.
We will watch a video on YouTube about Ser Vs. Estar.

HW: None

I am trying a new format for the Spanish Blog. Let's see if this will work better on time. It will be edited daily to add what is needed for the day.

lunes: Bell ringer: Translate these words:
1. Hallway
2. Art
3. Lesson
4. Exam/Test
5. Female Librarian
Then, tell what gender for all of them. (1-5)
Then, pluralize all of them. (1-5)

Lesson: The students will receive a worksheets based on the grammar notes over the pluralization of nouns and the rules of masculine versus feminine rules for nouns. The same as the warm-up.

Español II: You all are going to do worksheets with CHOPS verbs as well as Stem-Changing verbs. They are due at the end of the period.

HW: "Pollito/Chicken" song starts mañana.

Reminders: Quiz on jueves over 1-40 vocab words from the 'En la Escuela' unit.

Lesson: Hoy, we copy notes over Descriptive Adjectives. We will translate  them.

Español II: We will review the verbo Gustar.
Then, we will do a team card activity using the components of Gustar.

HW: Finish the sheets not done yesterday with the sub.

miércoles: Bell ringer: We will finish the Adjetivos notes.

Lesson: We will finish translating the vocab and go over ways to help remember certain ones and common misspellings in Spanish and English along with common mispronunciations.
If time permits, we will review the notes over pluralization, definite articles, indefinite articles, and cover gender of nouns.

Español II: We will work with Gustar with more card activities. One will be a group grade and the other will be a class grade.

HW: Don't forget to study for the prueba mañana.

jueves: Bell ringer: Study for 10 minutes over 1-40 of 'En la Escuela'.

Español II: Estudien por diez minutos los Verbos Con Cambios.

Lesson: Today, we will play bingo with flashcards that contain pictures of classroom vocab. This will be played for peso points and a participation grade.!!

Bell ringer: We will practice the 'Pollito Chicken' song. Afterwards, we will look at the schedule to remind those folks doing the recitation on Monday.
Afterwards, we will change seats.

Español II: Hoy, vamos a repasar los verbos con cambios en los raíces. Necesitan los apuntes del vocabulario (sección dos) y gramática (sección tres).

Lesson: Today, you will cut and paste 20 different school vocab words (none repeated) onto a sheet of paper.
Then, you will number and label the pictures en español.
This is to be done with the new partner next to you.
This is for a grade.

PSAT Day!

Due to the modified schedule with only classes 4th-7th meeting because of the PSAT and 9th Grade Field Day, we watched videos.
We also practiced the "Pollito Chicken" song and reviewed the schedule for next week.

Reminders: 'Pollito Chicken' songs to be done next week. I will show the schedule everyday until it is over.
